Through research and community conversations, United Way works hard to understand local issues and invest in programs that meet immediate needs. United Way brings people and resources together to understand and address root causes of issues that impact local communities.

Community Homelessness Report
The Community Homelessness Report (CHR) is an annual Reaching Home report that pulls together information about homelessness currently available at the community level, including governance, collaboration and outcomes, to help communities self-assess their progress in meeting reduction goals.
Homelessness Point in Time Count
A PiT Count is a census of people who are homeless at the time of the Count. In Kingston the urban Point-in-Time Count is conducted by the United Way of KFL&A, funded in part by Employment & Service Canada’s Reaching Home Strategy, and in partnership with the City of Kingston and local agency partners.
