This year, Pink Shirt Day is February 28, 2024. This day encourages everyone to practice kindness and wear pink to symbolize that you do not tolerate bullying.
Now a movement celebrated across the globe, Pink Shirt Day has humble beginnings. Inspired by an act of kindness in small-town Nova Scotia, now the day brings awareness and raises funds for anti-bullying programs.
This year’s theme is Lift Each Other Up, focusing on having greater acceptance, respect, and inclusion for everyone and supporting those who may have been impacted by bullying.

Don’t forget to share photos of yourself and your coworkers on social media on February 28 to show your support for #pinkshirtday. You can also tag United Way KFL&A and we’d be happy to share and further spread the message of kindness.

United Way of KFL&A would like to acknowledge this traditional territory’s longer existence and its significance for the Indigenous people who lived and continue to live on Turtle Island.
We are situated on traditional Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat land. There are Métis and other non-status First People from many Indigenous Nations present in our community today. This acknowledgement symbolizes the United Way KFL&A’s first step, of many, along this path toward Indigenous reconciliation, in a respectful manner.
