Day of Caring

For the past 22 years, United Way volunteer teams have shown their local love and helped agencies with gardening, renovations, and more at the annual Day of Caring. In 2022, the United Way Day of Caring will continue this tradition, but will also allow for different opportunities, ensuring health and safety protocols are followed.

Day of Caring will take place on Friday, June 17th, 2022.

Workplace volunteers and community members are encouraged to join teams and participate in tasks at agencies throughout the community. ‘Day of caring’ donations to support an agency with a day’s worth of program funding will also be possible.

United Way of KFL&A would like to acknowledge this traditional territory’s longer existence and its significance for the Indigenous people who lived and continue to live on Turtle Island.

We are situated on traditional Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat land. There are Métis and other non-status First People from many Indigenous Nations present in our community today. This acknowledgement symbolizes the United Way KFL&A’s first step, of many, along this path toward Indigenous reconciliation, in a respectful manner.
