CNIB Virtual Concert, Featuring Duane Morgan – In Support of the United Way KFL&A

Born and raised in Port de Grave, NL, Duane Morgan started playing guitar at the age of 11. Six months later, he wrote his first song and started performing at local talent shows, garden parties, concerts, and (a few years later!) at local bars. In 2006, he released his debut album.

Duane has an eye condition commonly known as Newfoundland and Labrador Rod Cone Dystrophy and has lived with significant sight loss all of his life. Today, he is the Executive Director for the CNIB Foundation in Newfoundland.

Your ticket purchase of $5 or more will get you access to the Virtual event as well as having your name entered into a draw for a Google Mini, two story/music CD/s and some United Way swag.

*In the “notes” section of the e-transfer, please include your name, the event name (CNIB Virtual Concert) your email address.

On Monday, November 9, 2020 you will receive a Zoom invitation, via email  to join the event on the 10th.

 

United Way of KFL&A would like to acknowledge this traditional territory’s longer existence and its significance for the Indigenous people who lived and continue to live on Turtle Island.

We are situated on traditional Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat land. There are Métis and other non-status First People from many Indigenous Nations present in our community today. This acknowledgement symbolizes the United Way KFL&A’s first step, of many, along this path toward Indigenous reconciliation, in a respectful manner.
