 Empire Life To Host Giant Garage Sale For United Way KFL&A
Free electronics disposal will also be available

The fourth annual Empire Life Garage Sale in support of United Way KFL&A will be held Saturday, September 15, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.  in the Empire Life parking lot on Ontario Street between Johnson and William Streets. The event will be held rain or shine.

Hunt for bargains with family and friends while enjoying a cup of coffee for $1 or a BBQ hotdog and drink for $3. There will be musical entertainment, in addition to the variety of treasures. The giant sale will feature bargain household goods, books, furniture and more.

There will also be an area to drop off your old electronics for recycling. Anything from cellphones to TVs and computer products will be accepted.  All proceeds will benefit the United Way KFL&A.

Thanks to Scott Environmental Group Ltd. Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment program (WEE) and to The Butcher Block and Bueno Bean Roasterie for their donations.

United Way of KFL&A would like to acknowledge this traditional territory’s longer existence and its significance for the Indigenous people who lived and continue to live on Turtle Island.

We are situated on traditional Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat land. There are Métis and other non-status First People from many Indigenous Nations present in our community today. This acknowledgement symbolizes the United Way KFL&A’s first step, of many, along this path toward Indigenous reconciliation, in a respectful manner.
