KINGSTON, ON / November 13, 2015 – Mike Ryan, 2015 United Way Campaign Chair, invites volunteers and supporters to join United Way for its annual Campaign Touchdown Breakfast on Monday, November 30, at the Ambassador Hotel and Conference Centre. Doors open at 7:00am and ceremonies start at 7:30am.
On September 11, 2015, a campaign goal of $3.4 million was announced.
In just under three weeks, 2015 Campaign Chair Mike Ryan will put an end to the suspense and announce how much the Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington community raised this year.
“As I have said when this campaign started, for me, the United Way gives hope to our community and its members,” said Mike Ryan. “I have seen how hope can shape recovery, help people cope and allow others adjust to many of life’s difficult challenges. With this campaign, I am proud to say that we are all working together to give hope to those who need it in KFLA.”
Every year thousands of volunteers, organizations, frontline agencies, professional staff and media partners come together to raise funds for services that help their families, friends and neighbours. Last year United Way invested in 60 programs that helped 75,000 people in our community.
Tickets are $15 each or a table of ten for $150. Organizers advise people to book their seats early as the breakfast regularly sells out. This year tickets for the breakfast can be ordered online. Visit the Touchdown event page to book your ticket today or call 613-542-2674 or email campaign@unitedwaykfla.ca, and join us for breakfast on the 30th.
