Kingston Police are proud to announce that the 2016 North American Police Equestrian Championships (NAPEC) will be hosted in the Limestone City and held at Kingston Penitentiary this fall, with tickets immediately available online to the public for the dates of September 17th and 18th. As part of the celebrations and events occurring for the 175th anniversary of the Kingston Police, riders from across Canada and the United States will be attending Kingston for conference sessions and to train and compete. The Kingston Police are proud to partner with the Correctional Service of Canada to allow the event to occur within the historic grounds of Kingston Penitentiary. The recipient for funds raised during this historic event is the United Way of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington. Some of the events include:

Saturday, September 17
8:00am – Uniform Class
9:00am – Equitation Class
12:00pm – Lunch, Western Pleasure Class, Canine Demonstration
1:30pm – Equitation Class resumes
5:00pm – Opening Ceremonies followed by Liberty demonstration performed by Ron Pyne (3-star Parelli Professional)
6:00pm – Toronto Mounted Unit demonstration on Crowd Management
6:45pm – Canadian Olympic equestrian Gina Smith Dressage Demonstration (tentative)
7:00pm – RCMP Musical Ride
8:00pm – End of evening
Sunday, September 18
9:00am – Obstacle Class
12:00pm – Lunch and Canine Demonstration
2:00pm – Obstacle Class resumes
3:00pm – Liberty demonstration performed by Ron Pyne (3-star Parelli Professional)
3:30pm – Toronto Mounted Unit demonstration on Crowd Management
4:30pm – RCMP Musical Ride
5:30pm – End of evening
