Every year, the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration offers local not-for-profit organizations the opportunity to recognize their volunteers for years of volunteer service. United Way of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington is always pleased to nominate individuals that help grow our community through their hard work and dedication.
The Ontario Volunteer Service Awards recognize individuals for 5 to 60+ years of continuous volunteer service with an organization, with a special category for youth recognized for 2+ years of service.
This year, on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, United Way KFL&A was thrilled to recognize nine recipients for an Ontario Volunteer Service Award for their long-term volunteer commitment at a ceremony held at St. Lawrence College.
Member of Provincial Parliament for Kingston and the Islands, Ian Arthur, was on hand to recognize each individual and in total more 1499 years of service were recognized in our community including more than 95 years from United Way KFL&A volunteers.
Congratulations and many thanks to all the recipients for all that you do in support of our community, so much of the work United Way KFL&A does wouldn’t be possible without you. Thank you for all your local love.
